In Minnesota, Addiction to drugs and alcohol has risen greatly in the past few years, It has been heartbreaking watching so many lives ruined, seeing loved ones impacted by this aggressive evil. Each graduate will receive a backpack filled with Essentials. We do this because: One of our managers faced a tough childhood with parents battling alcohol addiction. At a young age he was given the choice to move in with a loving, Christ centered family. That choice changed his life. Now 20 years later he is one of our key managers and longest tenured employees.
Because of this story - and others like it - we formed a partnership with Teen Challenge. We've seen the incredible impact of Christ's transformative power in turning lives around and we are dedicated to creating thousands more. Teen Challenge recently spoke at Kals. This event was the Release of Our goal is to place 6000 Lifepacks by 2026. These LifePacks are backpacks filled with, but not limited to a Journal, Personalized Bible, New set of Clothes, Gift Certificates for Food, List Mentors, and adding to the list soon. We want them to succeed.
Teen Challenge cares about changed lives, they have the largest percent of graduates that stay free from addiction. The Kals team met with Teen Challenge and wanted to know how they could help, what maybe could increase this percentage more. Together we worked on many ideas and finally came up with one that continues to provide help even after their time living on campus has come to a close. The Lifepack Program!! After the graduate leaves, the LifePack gives the graduates tools to start on their new life of sobriety.
Kals is looking for Business Sponsors that will help add additional items to the Lifepack. Kals is looking for Churches that are willing to pray for these Graduates and also get the Journals in the hands of a few families that are willing to Pray everyday for the recipient of the Lifepack, also write in the Journal, giving them Hope and Encouragement.
